Tuesday February 10th. Today we took Caleb Bower with us teaching. Sadly it was a bit of a slow day. We were able to see Buddy. Then we got shined by Lupe'. Then we did some door knocking in Decatur. It was a pretty slow day. After we dropped him off we went less active finding. The Paynes fed us a delicious meatloaf.
Wednesday February 11th. Today we had a lesson with Kristin she is doing well. She really wants to come to church but now she just has to get a sunday off. After that we went to the Dangers and talked to them for a little while. They both just got out of the hospital from surgeries. Then we were guests at Young men and womens. Then the Reeves made us some quiche, that was really delicious along with some broccoli soup.
Thursday February 12th. Today we Weekly planned, nothing to exciting there. We did some door knocking out toward Mattawan. Then we did some door knocking, in Lawton. As we finished knocking on a house we were walking away and I slipped and landed right on my hip. Boy did that feel good. :). We went back to the car and I was pretty much thump dragging the whole way. After that we taught a lesson to Billie Jean and Marcy. They are doing pretty well. After that I called it a night. My hip was hurting pretty good.
Friday the 13th. Today we did a lot of finding not a lot of luck. But other than that it was a pretty decent day. The Walker's had us out to dinner it was a tasty Gumbo type dish. After that we called it a night. My hip was hurting like none other.
Saturday the 14th. My hip is feeling slightly better to walk on now but still pretty tender. We were told not to go outside until after noon. That is what we did. When we went out we headed to the west. We took back roads. It was like someone spilt white OUT everywhere. It was super sketchy. We came across a girl that got her big Chevy Truck stuck in the snow. 3 ft of the drifted snow. We spent two and a half hours digging this girl out. She was so grateful, she said that she had been there for about an hour. She was now set free. We were glad to help. Then as we finished a house came into view as the wind died down for a minute, a lady stepped outside and told us to come in and warm up. We did, luckily I was not stricken by the elements to much but Elder Tuttle was. He had frostbite on the tips of all of his fingers. We warmed up in Jen's home and her son Aaron and puppy dog Blue made us hot chocolate. We got E. Tuttle's fingers some color back and headed back out into the abyss. For the 45 mins that we were in Jen's home 3 more vehicles had gotten stuck. We freed them and we headed back to base. It was a crazy, fun, adventure, hectic afternoon. But it was worth it. Then after that we went and taught Nick. He is going to prioritize the things that he desires in life. Then we called it a night.
Sunday the 15th. Paw Paw church was cancelled. So we went to Allegan's Sacrament meeting. Then from there we went to Wyoming, MICHIGAN. We went there for a training from Elder Marcus B. Nash of the 1st Quorum of the 70. It was really good. It was a lot of insight on how to be a great missionary. then after that we came back and the Szekely's had made us a dinner to go. They are so great to us. Then we called it a night.
Monday the 16th. Today we did a tiny bit of shopping, and now I am emailing. We are planning to go into Kalamazoo to do some errand running. But other than that, we are not going to do much, we have dinner with the Marshalls tonight.
Well everyone I am going so sign off for now, I hope things are going well in all of your lives. I pray for each of you. Take care and God bless.
