I would like to thank all those who have, are and will serve. Thank you for taking that oath that means so much to the freedoms that we all enjoy. Never forget the sacrifices. #ThankAVet Wednesday the 11th we had district meeting. Which it is always nice to be around other missionaries. For lunch we went to Chipotle for lunch per sisters request. Then after that we ran a couple of errands because we got the car back. Finally. Then we went out to 27th st. and did some door knocking out there. We came across some nice people. Then we went and saw bro. Howey. Then we went to Applebee's for dinner thanks to the Allgood's in providing a gift card to us. The ribs that I had were really great.
Thursday we did some weekly planning. We met with Alicia she is doing well. Then we went out and did some door knocking somewhere I don't recall. Then that night a member from Ithaca came over and took us out to dinner. Jon is the man, he took us to Famous Dave's which never fails to please. It was great chatting with him and catching up. He is someone that I have learned some awesome things from.
Friday the 13th. Today we met with bro. Howey. Then we met with a lady named Josephine she is a 95 year old black lady from Chicago, who claims that Michelle Obama writes her weekly. Her house was plastered with pictures of Obama. It was hilarious. But we found her a few days before when did some impromptu service helping her rake her leaves. So that just goes to show that service softens people and that is what the world needs is a bunch of service to unite us. Then we went down to Frankenmuth and walk around Bronner's it was Elder Caldwell's first time. It was fun. Whiloe we were there I received a tap on the back, and I turned around and it was Sis. Payne from Paw Paw. It was really a pleasant surprise to see her and talk with her for a minute, it took me back to the good old days of Paw Paw. Then we had dinner at the Paredes that is always fun, her Tuna casserole was not traditional and was quite tasty and fresh.
Saturday the 14th we had trade offs. Elder Engel and I did a lot of Door knocking. Then we had dinner at the Borlands which was quite tasty some home made enchiladas with olives. Then we traded back.
Sunday we had church which was excellent except for the fact that five minutes before the meeting bro. Lowry came up to us and volunTOLD us that we were going to be singing hymn 219 as a missionary quartet because the other musical number did not make it to church. So that was interesting. But thankfully as we began singing members of the ward began to sing along with us, that was awesome. Then we took Billie the Sacrament. Then we went on a little family outing with some people that we door knocked into. Ruth and Joe. His sister was in town and her two kids, so they wanted us to come with them to a park. So we did. We did some casual disc golfing with them, which actually quite fun. It was such a beautiful day at 60 degrees and sunshine. As we walked through the woods throwing Frisbee's and talking about the gospel. It was awesome. We are going to be meeting with them this upcoming week. Then we had dinner at the Nichol's and played Killer Uno. Such a blast.
Well thats all folks... Just us next time to see what happens at district p-day Monday the 16th.
