So we called the Assistants to the President and asked them if they knew what was going on. They said that we wouldn't have to worry. So we STILL DID. But on Wednesday at the end of the day we got a phone call from Pres. Hess, he told us that if we are willing to make the sacrifice that our chances of staying in Alma/Ithaca were good. So we told that we were very willing to make that sacrifice, (especially since we are making some headway with some people) to continue serving the awesome people of this area. Pres. Hess then told us we shouldn't have to worry, but nothing would be set in stone until our Transfer Calls came Friday. So we STILL worried.
So on Friday and Saturday we spent the entire day at the Apt. cleaning and moving things. We cleaned the upstairs, then we cleaned the kitchen, then the laundry room (basement), then we moved desks upstairs and are practically moved in up there. All we have left to do is move beds and clothes upstairs. The more we are up there the nicer it becomes. The only problem is that I am going to make sure I don't knock out my two front teeth on some of the doorways. (<<<------Serious)
So on Friday, Elder Jacobsen told me that if you stay in your area you get a phone call from the zone leaders before 1030am. Well 1030am came and went and we got no phone call. At 1055am (a LONG 25 mins) we got a call, from the ZLs saying we were staying... YYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! (Like Han Solo in A NEW HOPE when they blow up the Death Star 1)
We were stoked. So the address stays the same you just have to add a 1/2. So it is now; 148 1/2 Allen Ave. Alma, MI 48801
So on Sunday the 24th (Yesterday) we had investigators come to church, it was awesome. After church when we spoke with them they told us that a lot of their questions that they had were answered. Then after that we had lunch at the Stewarts. Then we had to rush to another appointment (that texted us earlier in the week wondering how she could go about getting baptized...GOLDEN) so we went and talked with her and have set a date for the 19th of April. then we had to rush to catch a ride from Doc Anderson to take us to Midland (Hour drive) for Stake Priesthood meeting. It was good, the talks were awesome they talked a lot about fathers and fatherly responsibility. Dads are there to; 1. Protector 2. Provider 3. Be a Friend 4. Someone to talk to. 5. A Haven 6. And to be Goofy with his kids. When the stake pres talked about this it reminded me so much of my Dad. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for my dad and ALL that he has done for me. Thank you Dad.
Well I hope you all have had a good week. May God watch over you. And remember to pray to him with any question that you have. That is one thing that I have learned out here. The more specific you are with our Heavenly Father in our prayers the better you prayers will be answered. So I would like to challenge each of you to be specific in your prayers/conversation with Heavenly Father. And do it on your knees there is something about it.
Well until next time, May the Force be with you, and God bless you.
