On Tuesday we saw sis. Muncaster she is doing really well, her and her dog are feeling a lot better. We did quite a bit of door knocking this last week. In fact we have been doing a lot of that all of this transfer. For dinner on Tuesday the Stewart's had us over for dinner, and we had a delicious chicken salad with funeral potatoes. Then we did some more knocking after dinner.
On Wednesday we had district meeting. It was really good, it basically was about feeling our spiritual wells. It was nice to have a refresher to remember that things which we study can and will be brought to our remembrance when needed. For district lunch we went to a place called Big Apple Bagels. We walked in and we (the Six of us) went to order, when a man came up and told us not to worry about the bill. So we got our food and sat down next to this man. Come to find out he was a less active member who clearly was rolling in the dough. But it was incredibly nice of him to pay for our meals. After that we went to Breckenridge to do some finding. We knocked some streets and found some decent potentials out there. Then we saw Orval and had a pretty good lesson on finding answers and desires. Then we went down to Ithaca and did some finding down there. After that we went to the church to help set up for the Waffle Night. It was an awesome success. Also very tasty. And quite fun.
On Thursday we did some planning for our area to figure out how we can best hasten the work here and how we can become more effective. Then the Girard's had us over for lunch and we had KFC for lunch. then after that we had four hours of door knocking. That was a long haul. Then we went up to Mt. Pleasant for a baptismal interview for the sister missionaries up there. Then we did some door knocking from about 7pm to 8:30pm.
On Friday we went out to Breckenridge again to knock a trailer park, those places are gold mines, to find golden investigators. So we knocked there and found two agnostic guys who would be interested in hearing what we (The flippin sweet Gospel of Jesus Christ) has to offer. then for lunch I believe I had the best ever Subway sandwich ( My mom would really like my comp, he likes subway a lot, so do I but not as much). Then we did some more knocking about a total of five hours worth. Then we had dinner with Bernie and Margaret, little Caesar's meat lovers with bacon was delicious. Then we had a lesson with the Hollyfields about the restoration of the gospel. Then we finished out the night doing some more door knocking.
On Saturday we had studies with the Senior missionaries (the Woodards). Then we went and saw sis. Muncaster. She was able to go to the temple the first time in 40 years. She said that it was incredible. The last time that she had been was when she was in Germany and she went to the Swiss temple. Then after that you guessed it we did some more door knocking. Then we saw Orval and had an awesome lesson about what the Holy Ghost is like. Then we saw a guy named Jake who is really confused about spiritual things in life and corruption in mankind. but he is beginning to read from the book of Mormon which is good.
Sunday's are always great. I love it, they are blessings out here. In Sacrament E. Rhodes gave a talk about Teamwork and Being Anxiously engaged. Then I taught Gospel Principles and it was about the role of the Holy Ghost. I thank the Holy Ghost a ton for helping me get through that. It was awesome. Then the Erekson's had us over for lunch. We had Meatball Subs that were freaking tasty it was hard not to have a third one, but I only had two. Then after that we were able to see John Case, we talked to him for a little bit. Then we came and had bowl of cereal for dinner. Then we went to see a man named Dave who wants to believe in God but doesn't. We had a really awesome discussion with him of how it is through the Holy Ghost that we receive spiritual truth.
Well now it is Monday (P Day once again). We had studies this morning and now that is up to date on the happenings in the 48801. I just noticed something. 48801 is the zip code for Alma, MI. And 801 is the area code for phones in most of Utah. That is interesting 48/801/ & 801. Huh that is interesting to me at least. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.
Alright folks. Transfer calls are coming up on Friday. So it will be interesting to see if I go or stay. A lot of me would like to stay. But I know that wherever I go (or don't will be were God needs me.). So just for the sake of easiness, not saying that you have to, but don't send me anything until I tell you what my fate is next Monday. (If you were going to awesome, if you weren't going to don't feel obligated.)
I hope that you all have an incredible week. Remember the power of prayer. Your Father in Heaven wants you to talk to him. I know that prayer is an incredible tool when it comes to decision making. Don't leave the Lord out when he is the one who knows all.
