Monday the 30th. We really didn't get to do many exciting things, because of it being the end of the month and not having any miles. So we kicked around Saginaw, and went to the mall. For dinner we went to the Wells for dinner and had fajitas for dinner. They were quite good. Then we called it a night.
Tuesday the 1st. We did a lot of running around. We had a few lessons over on the est side. Then we had lunch with Steve Mainprize, his cornbread is awesome. Then we visited Billie she is in the hospital again. But she is doing better. Then we saw bro. Howey who is doing well as well. Then we had dinner with the Lefler's. It was orange chicken night. I really enjoy orange chicken. Then we called it a night.
Wednesday the 2nd. Today we had district meeting that was really nice. The missionaries here are great to fraternize with, we have good laughs and chats. For lunch we we had at the mall food court so everyone could have what they wanted. I had Panda Express orange chicken. So good. After that we had to give up the car to the other missionaries. So now we are on foot patrol. The rest of the day was really slow. Not much went on. For dinner sis. Johnson made us a turkey pot pie that was incredibly delicious and flavorful. Twas excellent.
Thursday Bro. Harper took us to a lesson with sis. Cottenham's friends. Joe and Andrew. We picked them up as new investigators and they want to be baptized so hopefully that all goes well over time. After that we door knocked the rest of the day away. Then for dinner we ate with the Stokes who made some awesome things called cheeseburger bombs. Hard to describe but satisfying. After dinner bro. Stokes showed us his guns that he conceal carries. A little tiny 380, and a beautiful Glock 19. Then we called it a night.
Friday we went out with Bro. Stokes to contact some LAs. He is a funny dude. We then taught Alicia with him and she to is now preparing to be baptized on the 16th of January. So that hopefully works out. That night the Deibel's had a huge caroling party with 150 people there. Mostly from the ward. It was a blast, we caroled through the neighborhood, then stood around a piano and engaged in many fun and classic Christmas carols. A night to remember for sure.
Saturday the 5th. Today we did some service with the other elders, raked some ladies front yard, there were a lot of leaves. Then we had lunch provided by sis. Ellis. It was tasty authentic Jamaican jerk turkey. Different but really good. Then we did some door knocking. Then we had dinner with ourselves and called it a day.
Sunday was a great fast and testimony meeting. We did some admin work after church and then had dinner with Jon and Liz Deibel. It was pasta with homemade sauce and sriracha which I am starting to enjoy. Then we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional, just the four of us Saginaw Elders. It was really good and uplifting.
Monday DECEMBER 7th {1941, Never Forget, Pearl Harbor}. Today we are going down to Frankenmuth with the district so that should be fun. I will report back here in about a week.
Hope that you all have a great day. Godspeed.
