Tuesday Feb 24th. j Today we had a lesson with a man named Jose'. We taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it means to repent. Which is quite simple as we consult to Lord. Then we did some door knocking, and contacted some referrals. The we had a lesson at Bro. and Sis. Coltron. We taught a lady there named Cathy. She is a catholic and absolutely loves the book of Mormon. She takes super detailed notes and loves the things that go on in it. But she says that she has no desire to change. Then we called it a night and went back to the apt.
Wednesday Feb 25th. Today we did some door knocking in the apt. complex. Then we did some less active finding. Then we took a priest with us door knocking. His name is Cayden. He is pretty cool kid. After we door knocked we had dinner with the Shurtliff's. We had some awesome spaghetti with them. Then we went to check on a investigator named Ashley who is set to be baptized. She has a cousin in town who is driving her nuts so we took her some doughnuts to console her. But she is doing well. Then we took Cayden to the church and we had our correlation meeting with bro. Jarvis. Then we had a meeting with a LA family the Dowells. They are some pretty awesome people.
Thursday Feb. 26th. Today we taught a man named J.R. he has been investigating the church for five years. He wants to make sure that it is the truth. So we are going over the 17 points of the true church. Then we went to a town called Allendale where the Grand Valley State University is. There we taught a girl who was baptized this last weekend. Her name is Alissa. She is a really awesome and prepared person, she has only known about the church for 3 weeks and she found it on Youtube. Then we came back to Holland and taught a lady named Patty. She has five cats. Then we went with a RC (baptized in December) Michael to teach a man named Matt. We had a good time talking to him. Then we saw a man named Thomas. He just wanted to bash, so Michael (having gone to a Baptist seminary for 2 years) threw down and put him in his place. Then I asked Thomas to pray about it. Then we called it a night.
Friday Feb. 27th. Today we did some planning. Then we had the car inspected by the ZL's. then we Tried to see less actives but none were home. So we ended up doing some door knocking. Then we took a birth certificate to a member. Then we called it a night.
Saturday Feb 28th. FOOT PATROL. Today we mad some phone calls. Then we had to sprint like we were being chased by a grizzly bear to catch the bus. We rode it and found a old investigator that the sisters taught a year ago. He is open and wants to meet with us again. We rode the bus to a apt. complex that we knocked. We found a really nice girl named Holly and her dog Nikon. She wants us to come back when she gets back from Florida. Then after that we had a really awesome miracle occur. A Uhaul truck had gotten stuck underneath and awning. So we helped these folks lift it up and off of the truck. Then the Grandmother was super grateful and she gave us both huge hugs. She said that she would be in contact with us. So that was a pretty awesome miracle. Then we went to mass with Cathy. It definitely was not as good as the mass in Paw Paw. Then we met with a couple name Angel (Anhel) and Maria. They are Spanish and are waiting on birth certificates to be baptized. Then we had dinner with the Dowells. They fed us pizza and wings. Then we met with Matt again and taught him the commandments. Then he took us back to the apt. Then we called it a night.
Sunday Mar 1st. Church starts at 10 am. It is nice. I am not use to the amount of people at church. I am use to 70 active, now there are 150 active. It was quite the jump from a branch to a ward. Bishop Bartels is a really tall and thin guy. I have him beat by two inches though. Today it was nice to meet people from the ward. After that we took Michael with us teaching and we went and saw a LA Bro. Valero. Then we had dinner with the Myttens. Then we called it a night.
Today Monday Mar 2nd. We have a chiropractor (bro. Vickers) who practices kinesiology. He gives us free service on Monday. So we did that this morning. I feel really good he does something that relieves the tension. It is great. Then we went and got haircuts at sport clips which was nice. Had a really good Gospel conversation with the lady who did my hair. Then we went Grocery shopping at Meijer. Now we are emailing. About to go and play basket ball with Matt our investigator.
Well that is all for this week. Hope you have a awesome week. Soon I will update all of the pictures on the site. But just hang on a little bit for me. I appreciate your patience. Hope you all have a fantastic week and God Bless.
