On Tuesday we had trade offs for the sole reason so I could be back in Paw Paw for NYE. I went to Allegan with E. Bean. He is from Las Vegas. He is a pretty cool kid. So we did some work in their area. Then he bought us dinner, deep dish from Pizza hut it was really delicious. Then we played some RISK in the apt. before we went to bed.
Wednesday we had district meeting. It was good. The Topics are really repetitive, they are the same each transfer. So after district meeting we had lunch at Wendys. It was tasty as usual. Then we came back to Paw Paw. We were able to do some door knocking which was alright. These took weeks are some of the hardest just because ain't nobody got time for us (the Savior). Oh well what do you do? Just keep knocking. Then for dinner we went to the Wurtz, about half of the branch was there for NYE. It was very fun. We played apples to apples and a game called things. Then they had a 21 gun salute for Jim Wurtz who passed away earlier this year.
Thursday we saw our investigator William, he is getting a new car and starts his job on the 5ht. So he is doing really well. Then we did a bit of door knocking, lots of people out of town though (or hungover). New Years is always cool. I realized though I didn't see the ball drop, I was in the same time zone as it so no tape delay.
Friday was a better day. A few more people answered but not many. We had dinner with the Walkers. It was great they are always fun to talk to. They are into sci fi so we have good conversations.
Saturday, we door knocked in the rain with no luck and wet feet.
Sunday we got up and went to branch council with little to report. Then we had a great testimony meeting. The rest of the hours of church were great. After church we did some work. Then we had dinner with the Szekely's. I shared a out of the blue spiritual thought about blessings from baptism, it ended up being quite spiritual. We always have a good time with the Szekely-Reeves clan.
Monday January 5th *1995* 2015 wahoo. I turn 20 today, I do feel wise in my ripe old age. I am so blessed to have the family that I have. They are all super good to me.
I hope you all have a GREAT NEW YEAR. ************Remember this one thing. Only YOU can decide to make it FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC or good or bad. Decisions need to be made, things need to be left behind, things need to be picked up, but it is up to you. YOU CHOOSE.
