On Wednesday we had a pretty awesome district meeting. On Becoming a Preach My Gospel missionary. So for district lunch we went to Qdoba a dumbed down Cafe' Rio. While we were talking the subject and stories of missionaries asking for stuff came up. So an off the record goal that we have set is to ask, only when people are not interested in the gospel, for stuff. For example; "That is a nice watch,........Where did you get it from?..........I have always wanted a watch like that, and I have been looking for one..........Can I have it?" Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but it adds some spice to the work. Then Bro. Girard had us for lunch at the Blue Shamrock. It was quite a tasty chicken bourbon sandwich. Then later that night we went and washed the Hutchinson's windows. They were kind enough to give us some KFC for dinner. Then after that we went to the Mcconnell's and helped them lay some linoleum down.
On Thursday we did a lot of finding (Door Knocking).
On the 4th of July we were given word from the Jacobsen administration (new Mission Pres.) that we were allowed to stay out until 22:30 hrs. as long as we were with a member. But we started the day out helping Darnel, we helped him throw some things away, he is getting ready to head out to Utah in Septemberish. Then we did some door knocking not a lot of success. We did have one lady want to learn more about the "Mitt Romney boys". Then we saw the Mcconnell's and burnt one of E. Rhodes shirts for his 12 month mark. We also saw sis. Muncaster. She is doing alright she is currently in a lot of pain. So is her poor little dog. He just has super bad arthritis. Then we saw the Hollyfields and shared a message with them. Then we did some more door knocking. Since no members invited us to do anything which was kind of a bummer, we just sat outside our apt. and watched different fireworks around us be shot off (big mortars). So nothing too exciting for the Fourth.
On Saturday we saw Orval and talked to him about the Pre-Earth life and our God given right to choose (agency). It was an awesome 15 minute lesson. Then we went out to the gravel pits for James' birthday. It is pretty much a huge swimming hole in the middle of no where with fish in it. Then we went to the Village of Breckenridge to do some door knocking not a lot of success there either.
Sunday is always good, we got a ride from Darnel to church. It was a awesome fast and testimony meeting. Then we had delicious chicken for lunch with the Anderson's. Then we did some door knocking in a kingdom builder area, not humble people at all. Then we knocked on Rosedale and were able to talk to a really cool guy who said that he wants to come to church. So we talked to him for about an hour. Last night we had a SEVERE thunderstorm, and some flooding, the Pine river over flowed. The Thunder was awesome to listen to and the lightning was incredible.
That all leaves me sitting right here writing this email. At the Theodore Austin Memorial library.
I hope that all of you have an awesome week. Thank you for your support. May God watch over you and protect you.
