On the 29th we door knocked for a while, then we had dinner with the Nichol's. So cool story; while I was working as a security guard I met a lady named Diane who worked at the DLD. She new that I was going to serve in Michigan and she told me to keep a eye out for her friends the Nichol's. So now I have met them and they are such a great family and they treat us like their own.
So on Wednesday the 30th we had district meeting in Bay City. Just North of us.The missionaries in the district are Bay City; Elder's Dorrough and Wharton and Sister's Chatman and Viewheg. Then the Saginaw Elder's Stewart and Engel and then Elder Giar and myself. It is fun to be around a good group of missionaries that enjoy being out here and can enjoy a good laugh.
Thursday we had to take the car to the shop for it to have some recalls fixed on it. While we were walking to go and find something to eat because it was early in the morning. But as we were walking Bro. Borland stopped and gave us a lift to Bob Evans (like Denny's). Then a awesome blessing, he bought us breakfast and we sat with him and had a great time chatting. Then he continued on to work and we waited for our ride. Bro. Harper then gave a lift to out apt. Then we were picked up by Bro. Klopf. He is a really cool guy we talked a lot about guns and things to that nature. He took us to a members sisters house to help them pain the garage. It was fun we had a good time. Then the son made some awesome tamales. Then after that we showered and got ready for dinner. Then Bro. Borland showed up and took us back to his place for dinner. We had a great time with their family. They were so kind to take care of us twice in one day. It was such a huge blessing. Then after that we went on splits with the bishopric. Elder Giar went with Bro. Borland and I went with Bishop Deibol. We met some good people. Then we called it a night.
Friday the 2nd. Today we did some planning and tried to contact some people that we have not seen in a little while. Then after that we did some Facebook work. Then we had dinner at the Sheets. They are some funny people. Then after that we met with Bro. Howey.
Saturday we had General Conference. It was crazy to realize that this was my last General Conference in the field. Talks were great. The Nichols brought us KFC we were so grateful for that, they are great.
Sunday was a great day. Conference is always a great time to be a missionaries. The Nichols brought us some Hoagie sandwiches for lunch which we were super grateful for.
Monday and Tuesday were interesting days we spent them both in Lansing doing sound for a couple of meetings. The first meeting was called the Legacy Group. Which is a group of missionaries who go home in six months or less. We set goals of things that we would like to accomplish. We had dinner at Five Guys. Then we spent the night in Lansing with Elder's Dunn and Maucotel. Then the next meeting was a missionary leadership council. Luckily I did not have to sit through that hum drum thing for to long. The vehicle coordinator Elder Bish took me with him to run errands. We had a great time.
Wednesday we had district meeting. Now we are having P-Day just doing some odds and ends around. So this week we have to give up the car because it is on rotation so we are getting lots of rides.
I hope that you all have a fantastic week and I will chat with you all later.
